Astfel, dupa tragerea la sorti, favorita 1 Serena Williams ca juca impotriva jucatoarei Ashley Barty, detinatoarea trofeului Victoria Azarenka isi va incepe campania in primul tur versus Johanna Larsson, Maria Sharapova numarul 3 pe lista favoritelor va avea cel mai dificil meci in primul tur, impotriva Bethaniei Mattek-Sands, cea care este in forma maxima , iar finalista de anul trecut Na Li , care deja a reusit sa castige un titlu anul acesta la Shenzhen , o va avea ca adversara pe o jucatoare venita din calificari !
